So I haven't been keeping up with this site, WotC or D&D in general. I only come across a couple videos in my YT recommended talking about the release of Spell Jammer and the announcement of One D&D, where mentioned that D&D Beyond is the official digital tool set for D&D and soon physical books will have digital keys for this site? So when did this deal go down, how long ago was that?
WotC officially took ownership of D&D Beyond a few months ago. The deal itself was worked out mostly last year but of course we didn't hear about much at the time. Private communications between companies and all that.
They will not be providing digital keys with physical books. What they're starting to do is allow people to buy the physical copy of the book through D&D Beyond that comes with the digital content at no extra cost (beyond shipping).

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Minor correction: They're not allowing purchases via DDB (although it is entirely possible in the future), it's through Wizards that they let you buy a bundle at this time. It's only worth pointing out because it means you can't use your bundle discounts (gained from buying Legendary, Sourcebook etc bundles) on the physical + digital bundle.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
