Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
I like elves. My favorite would be high elves, astral elves, and eladrin. For high and astral elves, I like being a total snob with a superior-than-thou attitude. For eladrin, I like being dramatic.
As a DM, I love Kobolds. The way I envision them, they are these cute little underdogs that make up for their physical weakness with clever traps and silly inventions. Plus they are great tunnelers
Human is my favorite. I tend towards the more traditional Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Half Orcs. It's hard for me to get into playing something that strays too far from human.
Although I love goblins, I'm also partial to halflings. I just appreciate how chill they are in life.
I like to play against type. I have a hafling sorcerer who was bullied and now he's surly, sarcastic and has a short fuse.

I'm the first to vote Kenku... don't know if that's incredibly telling or predictable given my handle...
Long explanations hort: I like bird-folk races, and I like the Kenku's slightly more "urban fantasy" aspect to them. Plus pulling a Commander Data and repeating conversations back to people in their own voices is hilarious.
Bugbears, they are just interesting folk, strong, sneaky, and civilized. Maybe not civilized, but mine are. A character concept I love is a high and Noble bugbear from a long linages of Noble, who's from a castle, Smokes a pipe, where's fine clothes, is the classic knight idea of chivalry, and of course is Irish.

Gelatinous cubes are by far the most sophisticated of ooze variants
Generally speaking, Human, merely because I can relate better. But for all out fantasy, I'd have to to say Dwarves. Unless you count homebrew, then Succubus.

I am an experienced player (approximately 40 years) who is always looking for a group.
That's to hard to answer if I had to pick one it be tieflings but I been everything over the years I rarely get to be a PC. I guess reason is because if you have a dm who is not going to tell you the type of tiefling character you have to play or mess with that character till they're psychologically broken &don't want to adventure anymore they can be fun to play.
Oh, another race that I want to play but haven't gotten around to yet is the Harengon from M3. After all, who doesn't love a bunnyman Rogue?
BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!
He/him pronouns. Call me Bard. PROUD NERD!

Humans for the versatility, especially custom lineage
Halfling. Human but Small, Nimble, and Lucky. Dunno if that'll matter much in 1D&DUA.

I don't exactly know how to describe. Basically a bipedal sphinx cat with more humanoid proportions.

Current Characters I am playing: Dr Konstantin van Wulf | Taegen Willowrun | Mad Magnar
Check out my homebrew: Items | Monsters | Spells | Subclasses | Feats
While a simple weapon, the Dhampir’s Bite lacks the finesse property, and is therefore intelligible for Sneak Attack.

Ok, I just realized you can play an ooze in spelljammer, and I think it's my new favorite race.

I like Tieflings and Aasimar, but if I have to pick one it would always be Tiefling. I love the aesthetic and variety that comes with it.
She/Her Player and Dungeon Master
Have you heard Wind Rose? Dwarven metal is a genre and it is amazing.
