    I come to look and the last post is 2023..

    Can someone explain what is going on?

 Your post is No. 112, and the one before it is 110. So it looks like there was a 111, which was deleted for some reason or another. I’d guess the notice was sent before the post went away.

 It was likely revived by a spammer posting into it, as they often do.

Yeah, spambots are pretty notorious for necroing threads that have been dormant for years.  Fortunately they're usually pretty obvious because they post something that's either completely irrelevant to the topic, a direct copy-paste of something someone else has already said, or just a word salad.
