I threw my character into their character creator to double check on math, I have a fighter with +2 Con modifier. So I should have 12 hp max at 1st level. DnD Beyond however says I have 14?? Can anyone enlighten me as to why there is a 2 hp spread?

14 isn't correct. You get max roll (10 for a Fighter) plus your Con, which is +2, for a total of 12.
You have to go into the manage character part and go to manage hp from there rather than directly from the character sheet. I noticed a similar issue - an old character, L1 DracoSorc had 16 max HP. I checked, and for some reason it had 12 as my rolled HP instead of 6. I don't know why, it's possible that I just didn't understand how it worked (it was very early on in my D&D time) or there could be a glitch (seeing as you are having similar issues). Go into the manage character screen, then manage HP. See if the rolled HP is correct, plus the HP isn't being overridden somehow.

There's a bug during character creation where if you set your HP calc type as (I forget which of the two settings) before setting your class, since it doesn't know which die to use, it uses the biggest, ie a barb's d12. That's probably what happened. You just fix it manually as explained and should be good from there.

Go into the character sheet >> Click on the character portrait >> Select Manage Character & Levels >> Select Manage HP
That should tell you where the HP calculations are coming from.
If there are no obvious mechanical justifications, then the HP may have been overridden.
Here is a link to the character.

I don't see anything obviously wrong, so click on the text below 14/14 and see if there is a number in the Max HP Modifier or Override Max HP fields.
I agree with Memnosyne.

No number in either of the fields. Ok I guess 14 is the correct number, thanks for responding to my post folks :)

Thank you. Appreciate the help.
