Does Charisma have anything to do with how many animal followers a Druid, Moon circle can have? Wisdom is the skill for animal handling but does charisma play a part in the number of critters allowed?
Sorry, I'm a little confused. What do you mean by animal followers? I'm not seeing any feature that grants animal followers to the circle of the moon druid?
No, by RAW followers are not clearly defined in terms of their limitations or how they are handled, it's left pretty much solely up to DM discretion and Charisma is not spelled out as having any part of it. That doesn't mean it Doesn't have a part, though, it just means it has a part in it if and only if your DM says it does. For all I know they're using an effect similar to the leadership feats of 3.5 to handle followers, and if they are, in there Charisma had a VERY large part in it. So as with all things, talk with your DM. It's whatever they say it is.
If you're a DM and are asking, well, it does if you want it to. If you haven't already looked at leadership feats from 3.5 for a defined system from which to model leadership type effects, or some of the stuff on running keeps and strongholds, or armies, I'd start there. Obviously a large amount of it won't apply or would need heavy modification to work with 5e, but it's a nice place to start in terms of inspiration for how you can run it, and otherwise, you're just making up systems entirely on your own, which good on you if you want to do, but it's way harder that way.
