Has anyone else noticed things not being announced like they used to?
For example, I only knew about the subscription free trial because someone made a thread about it. The latest playtest was out a while before I got the email and banner (it's still not on the front page). It just seems strange that everything used to be announced, but there have been s couple instances (that I'm aware of) that would make sense for them to announce...but haven't, or did it late.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
Pretty sure there was a banner for the free sub month thing. The playtest release I learned about through other feeds, but I think there was also a banner.
Are they putting announcement articles on their landing page, I don't think so? But I've been seeing the blue banner a lot more.

This has been an ongoing issue for two years, lmao.

It was quite a while before they put a banner up, which was after the email. The sub never showed me a banner - the only source I've had was a thread complaining about something or other with it.

Yeah, this has been an issue for a while. Betcha guys didn't know that free Honor Among Thieves D&D Content just came out, since no official website member has announced it here and I haven't posted a PSA just yet.
Edit: As a side note, I just realized that 1DD content is kind of hidden away here on the site. I mean, the only way to get through it is sources and One D&D, and there are no articles or announcements for it, only the blue banner thing at the top of the screen,

For this one (at least), there's a post about it on the front page of the site, titled "Claim NPC Stat Blocks From Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves!".

Yeah, but there are a number of very active users on this site who rarely visit the main page of D&D Beyond and instead use bookmarks or starred pages and the like to quickly get to places like the forums. However, there are zero announcements here, and other community members are now responsible for notifying as many of those people as they can by starting threads as PSAs.
If moderation or staff did this, then a burden would be taken off our shoulders. Not only that, but people wouldn't rush to post announcements about this and accidentally cause double posts in doing so if they knew that mods or staff would take care of that. This would actually mean your team would have less work in the long run, since there likely wouldn't be multiple threads on this that you'd have to lock (sorry about me not seeing the other PSA earlier btw, it kinda does prove my point for this though).
This is especially important because the blue banner that is displayed on the forums and elsewhere on the site is now showing 1DD content (several weeks after the recent playtest came out), and the banner obviously isn't showing the announcement about free content at the same time.
P.S. It's good to see you on the forums, V2. I don't use StackExchange, but whenever I look up a rules question and get directed to the site, I always see your profile and a note saying that you've edited some of the posts. Are you everywhere? :)

BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!
He/him pronouns. Call me Bard. PROUD NERD!

That tracks for most non-Magic WotC products.
