Saw a review of the Chains of Asmodeus. Looked interesting to me. Not a big fan of reading PDFs on devices, but I like the DnDBeyond App. Now that Hasbro owns DnDBeyond might we get content like Chains of Asmodeus ported over to Beyond? I would definitely buy it...
Some stuff has already come over. It's likely more will come, but I can't be confident that specific works will.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

I think there is a strong chance of it coming to DDB, as it is for extra life charity and I do believe there was stuff already here like Domains of Delight and so on
Domains of Delight is a fairly recent addition to DDB, and what I was referring to as an indication that they're thinking of moving stuff into DDB.

just imo...big chance a few will...~zero chance the majority will. Very few authors design homebrew content with the goal to keep it within the bounds of what DDB is capable of doing. Regardless of how fast or often DDB changes, it will never be able to keep up with homebrewers going beyond fundamental programming rules and design restrictions.

Just to be clear we're talking not about DMsGuild in general, where you're definitely right about designing or not designing for DDB compatability, but DMsGuild products that were produced by WotC. The Extra Life stuff, in particular this Asmodeus Book, the Minsc and Boo Journal of Villainy (by the same author of Chains of Asmodeus) and Domains of Delight. That last one actually made it over to DDB.
One thing I did notice: the credits page for Domains of Delight is very different from the Minsc and Boo book in terms of number of people involved. Crawford and Perkins and a whole bunch of other roles are mentioned in the credits of Domain and not Minsc and Boo. The former seems to have more "robust" credits than the Minsc and Boo book, despite being a much shorter work. That might be indicative of something.
We do know WotC has said Planescape will get fleshed out more online, we don't know what that's going to look like. Chains of Asmodeus could be indicative of that look. It also means while it's a WotC endorsed product it seems to not have the full WotC design process behind it, which might make sense as the Planes are a lot of ground, so to speak, to cover. Just speculating, but I think the fact that there's significant difference in the number of people involved in Domains v Minsc and Boo may give some indication as to what the future of Chains of Asmodeus will be.
So, has anyone seen the credits page to Chains of Asmodeus?

Thanks. So yeah, the main difference between Chains and Asmodeus (as well as Minsc and Boo's Journal of Villainy) and Domains of Delight is that Domains of Delight has an additional listing of personnel for the D&D Studio beyond the specific project team. I don't know if that really does mean anything in terms of how WotC regards Olsen's projects in relationship to D&D vs something like Domains of Delight, but the fact that Domains has credits more in line with the style of hardcovers, that might be indicative of different tiers of DMsGuild WotC output and how they may fit into the D&D ecosystem including availability in the D&D marketplace.
I do remember when Domains and Minsc and Boo's were released they were relatively close in timing. Minsc and Boo's had a lot of enthusiastic purchasers, including folks who opted for the hardcover option ... which developed a lot of buyers remorse because of proofreading. There was no such complaining with Domains of Delight, making some wonder if there are varying production pipelines, some WotC will give more production resources, like proofreading than others.

Jander Sunstar is the thinking person's Drizzt, fight me.
I would love to see these here and as DM facing materials they are probably less work than they look due to the relative lack of player options that would need to go into the character builder.
I’m just crossing my fingers. I have Domains of Delight in both formats and it’s the one here I tend to use.

It’s probable. WotC would make more money from they stuff they put on DMGuild if they sell it on D&D Beyond.

I'll just keep my fingers crossed then... probably buy the Hardback of Chains when it is available. I find PDFs to be unwieldy...

Thanks for reminding me! I meant to get that but never did.

Yeah, it is a very convenient format. Even for phone/tablet use.
