Loving D&D Beyond character sheets, they are amazing! Question for you veterans out there.
I have a lvl 1 wizard with mage armor spell and base 10 AC. I click 'cast' on Mage Armor in the spells action on my character sheet and my AC does not go up to 13 as it should. Is that something you just have to manually handle or is there a way to adjust AC on spells like Mage armor so you don't forget to take it into account? Thanks!
Beyond doesn't really have a built-in temporary effects system, so things like mage armor won't do anything automatically. The easiest way to fix things is to click on AC, click Customize, and then put a 3 in Additional Magic Bonus and put mage armor as the source. If you want a more reliable but slightly-tougher-to-set-up way of doing temporary effects, there's a great thread here that shows you how to do them with homebrew magic items.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

Not only that, but mage armor can be cast on other creatures as well, and the system has no way of knowing who the target of the spell is.

This is brilliant! Thank you!
I don't think this 'trick' works anymore. Was there a recent update that nerfed it?
When I tap the Armor Class box on my character's sheet, a menu opens that asks about Everyone, Self, Advantage, or Disadvantage.
There is no Customize option.
EDIT: Nevermind. This trick works on the website; not the app.
