While I do not have the book yet, I have been curious what is the most mechanically powerful race introduced in Humblewood? (And I mean in general, not with the classes in that book.)
"Best" isn't really a thing. The birdfolk and humblefolk are really thoughtfully designed as a set of diverse options and no one really has "more" than anyone else mechanically. Sure some blend well with particular classes or character concepts, but there isn't an objectively best. It really depends on what you want to do with your character.
It's funny, some folk being de facto superior to other folk is actually a theme within the politics of the setting. Let's just say the idea that any folk being better than another folk is roundly rebuked as a myth in the campaign.
