This is the first time I write anything on the forum so sorry if I do something wrong, but I'm wanting to create a drow character without buying any content, what race is best to pick instead? I know it gives a disadvantage to not have the same stats and bonuses but I honestly dont really care about that, any help is appreciated.
It really depends on what you want from the Drow. Like, what is it that makes you want to play them? Then we can help point out others that might have similar things. From a blind standpoint and assuming you only have the free stuff...one of the Elves (I think you get High Elf and Wood Elf for free) is probably the closest you'll get.
Alternatively, if you own a physical copy of it (probably from the PHB), you can homebrew it onto DDB - just don't publish it.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
Sent you a link with a campaign. I don't have content sharing, but the DM of a campaign can edit a character's race so I can get you a Drow if you want.
But as for the general question, what about the build had you thinking Drow in the first place? That helps with knowing the synergies you saw with Drow when recommending another race.

If you like elves, high elves and wood elves are free, and you can just reflavor them as drow who adapted to the surface.
I do not think Drow are too difficult to homebrew either, and you can use one of the elves as a template and make adjustments from there.

How about go with a Half-Elf and just verbalise it is a Half-Drow?

Dark Elves are in the PHB. Dark Elves is the common term for Drow.
The PHB isn't free.
