I found this page and created my character, and I was wondering where I can play using the character I already created. I haven't got anyone who plays around me - and I'm new to the game - so I'm ideally looking for an online group where I can use this character.

you can recruit/get recruited in campaign eg https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/looking-for-players-groups or https://www.reddit.com/r/lfg/, various discords etc

More often, people find the game first and build the character for it.  That said, here are some ways to find a game:

1) Go to this forum on D&D beyond: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/looking-for-players-groups

2) Go to your local game shop and look for a real life game posted on a bulletin board there.

3) Goto roll20 and look for an online game there:  https://app.roll20.net/lfg/search/
