First impression: Great for MCDM. Second impression: I'd rather buy from MCDM directly so that I can have a pdf that can't be taken away. Third impression: More clutter for the monster listings since I can't filter by "owned". This has been especially bad since Tome of Beasts dropped.
Is there any plans to bring back a la carte purchases given the community pushback? There are some things I would like from the MCDM books, but I just can't do $40 - $60 for one or both of the entire books right now.
Since Flee, Mortals! has a lot of companions for Beastheart class, will we be getting the Beastheart class in DnDBeyond now? It would be nice to be able to make my character sheet here for it after all.
Where Evil Lives can be preordered here! We're aware that it may not be searchable on the Marketplace; that's being worked on.
I would not have expected to see Matt Colville content here but I've only ever heard good things about these 2 publications. So glad to see some of the best 3rd party content being integrated into DDB. Picking up both products.
Third party material with their own character classes has been a stumbling block or something passed over so far in bringing 3pp to DDB. I could be wrong, and it'd be great if I am, but I wouldn't expect to see 3pp character classes like the Beastheart until well after the new core books are brought on line.
It's interesting. I have no interest in buying Flee Mortals or Where Evil Lives on DDB. I KS'd and have physical and PDFs of both and lots of drawing board stuff from the KS, and while challenging I think it'd be fun to bring what I take from those books online via my pvt homebrew. I playtested the Beastheart because I didn't care for the stand alone product as offered. Now if the Beastheart were made available integrated in DDB, that would be quite a literal game changer for me.
Interesting times for 5e.

I would like more classes by 3PPs, for example here the talent, the illriger and the beastheart. I guess it is not yet because it needs some special software or design, and the subclasses..and players creating new subclases..
If anyone's hesitating, FLEE, MORTALS! is easily the best 5E supplement outside of the core rules books. The creativity, intelligence, and intentionality behind the monster designs here is unsurpassed. From the lowliest mooks to the highest CR bosses, there isn't a boring monster in the book.
I'd actually argue it's better than the MONSTER MANUAL in its primary job, but the MM is pretty essential to the game.
WHERE EVIL LIVES is also excellent but not as "necessary."
In actual gameplay, I've found what you're claiming to not be true at all. They've added flavor, danger, unpredictability, and memorability to encounters.
I mean, if your goal is to have no encounters last more than two, three rounds, tops, then, sure. These aren't for you.
And I'm curious as to what specific rules these monsters are breaking, in your view.
Personally I'm not a fan of Coville, but many are and he has many great tube vids for new players and especially new DM's. While I will not buy his stuff I am glad to see it here on DDB!

Glad you posted the link, I saw the bundle option under Flee Mortals but couldn't find where to use it

I bought the MCDM source books before they were on DnD beyond. Is there any way I can add them to my account without paying again?
Nope. Just like if you bought the print version of the 5E books, you still have to pay for the online version here.
