With the new 5.5 rules coming out, what, if any 5.5 resources (PHB quickplay, starter set tiles, etc) are being made available to teachers running clubs via either mainstream D&D or D&D Beyond?
Will existing accounts be automatically updated/upgraded or will we have to re-apply?
And why in the heck are they not coming out in mid-August or earlier? I need them by that time in order to properly prepare for the new semester. I have 4 classes of kids who's characters will need to be either updated or created to use the new rules (which I think have some very needed improvements).
As we are closer to release date, as any additional information been released on this issue? I know some people are getting access as early as Sep 3 (could be wrong on date), so I'm just trying to plan my club.
I was going correct the OP on calling it "5.5e" but I see the Mods already did it. It is not 5.5, 5.24 or 6.0. It's just 5e. A better way to write it is (5e Rev 2024 or 5e Rev) ((copyright))
Thank you! I'm also an educator running a club this fall and next spring, and if we can access the new phb it would be super helpful. A couple of my kids will have it, and I'd at least like to be able to read it. Ideally, I'd want all my kids to have equal access to the material.
the same packet from last year has been sent out with bonus dice. NOT the new rules or starter kit. Hopefully, a second shipment with the new rules etc will be released once the new materials are released.
Hi! The new players handbook has released, and my club picks up in October, so I thought I'd follow up and ask for info. So far, it doesn't appear that the new book is included in the digital educator bundle.
Throwing my support for this Topic out there. I too am an Educator and just last year we were "comped" an educator's license / subscription. However, now that the new 2024 rules have come out students are trying to make new characters using them but don't have access to all the options. It's discouraging to them and confusing.
Would love to get access to the new 2024 set of rules. It'd be nice if I didn't have to jump through the same hoops again to get the Education Bundle since we already have it in our Order History.

Firstly it's not 5.5, it's still very much D&D fifth edition and you can keep playing using the 2014 core rulebooks
Specific to this question, nothing has been announced yet regarding these resources

I'll be setting up a D&D after school club at my new school this winter, so I look forward to any info regarding the Ed Resources program.
