If you have a High Elf Druid you can have both Shillelagh and true strike from lvl 1 with WIS mod. No multiclassing needed :)
Thanks for pointing that out! I also wanted to have Hextra Attack (Cantrip Friendly Extra Attack) and build an actual gish, so Valor Bard with the Guide Background works just fine.

Canto alla vita alla sua bellezza ad ogni sua ferita ogni sua carezza!
I sing to life and to its tragic beauty To pain and to strife, but all that dances through me The rise and the fall, I've lived through it all!
A high elf of any class can have both by using magic initiate. There's ways to do it, but the player is committing their character to using a club or staff in the process. I think Shillelagh takes planning around, especially if there's a feat cost to acquire it.

Magical secrets only applies to prepared spells, not cantrips. Lore bards can do it with magical discoveries tho.
Well that's annoying.

You can multiclass. :-)
I was trying to do it without, and all it takes is the Guide Background with Magic Initiate: Druid.
