Good to know actually, I was just about to buy all the races, subraces, classes, and backgrounds at full price because I was worried a code would take ages to get here. I think I can wait a month.
If you read the mentions of "mythic" and "odyssey" in some of those D&D live events, that Wizards event is clearly promoting the new hardcover, Mythic Odyssesys of Theros. Really designed to drive sales of a new hardcover. I, and others on this thread, don't see DND Beyond making Wizards happy if they offer a deeper discount in the same month as a new hardback, might even be forbidden to do so in the license. Earliest I see is August, in time for "back to (new remote versions of) school" when game groups will continue to grow using online tabletops.
On the other hand, looks like Explorers Guide to Wildmont came out really close to the March-April Legendary discount. Actually, it may have been celebrating it, so next month could be it.
Also, if you want to buy something now, I'd go for it, I believe your purchase history gets deducted from the bundle. I'm buying piecemeal things I need for my game (or need to share with my group) but will likely go for the bundle during a sale to be completist like a few others.

Jander Sunstar is the thinking person's Drizzt, fight me.
For some reason when I saw new posts in the "current, active D&D Beyond Coupon Codes" forum, I thought there would be new active Coupon Codes. Sadly it was just an off topic debate.
Exactly. DNDBeyond and Wizards are different companies and therefore both have to make money in their own ways. You don't go buy a movie theater ticket, watch the movie, and then expect the DVD for free, right? it's the same concept. I think the discounts they offer happen often enough that it''s nice. Also, they sell the books for, like, $30.00, while the MSRP is something around $50.00
I had no idea that there was such a passion for microeconomics in the forum.
Trying to get this thread back on topic - it was just my observation that when the last coupon came out for digital content, there were fewer online players and less demand for digital copies of D&D materials. Now there is a boom of online players, all seeing the value of having digital manuals to ease character creation, playing adventures on a myriad of virtual tabletops, etc. There IS still a cost to create and maintain digital content and D&DB will try to maximize profits based on demand while balancing the costs of paying salaries and infrastructure upkeep.
Like most, I'm just hopeful that the appearance of Theros and upcoming events will mean that we'll see another coupon code here soon. However, there is a slight concern that with the increase in demand for online content, D&DB might decide to delay issuing coupons for many more months.
I guess it's with the massive influx of new customers and the nice gestures of several other sellers (DMSguild & Drivethru bundles, Wizards' daily giveaway, memorial day sales etc.) people were hoping D&D Beyond would hop on the sales train.
Even a buy one, get one at 50% would probably be a massive succes and gateway drug. I got the PHB at 50% thanks to Icespire Peak and have been considering buying more ever since. I'm waiting for a good deal, but the desire to spend spend spend gets stronger every single day.
Just adding myself so that I am aware of future codes.
Hopefully, I only have to say this once: If you want to listen to a forum thread and not ping the other thousand people already listening on it, please use the tools button (top right) and click subscribe. Thank you.

If you are on mobile, you will have to turn your phone to landscape orientation and it will be on top left instead.
I know it's contributing to the problem, but just letting mods or whoever know I'm unsubscribing from this topic because it's pointless.
Yeah just use the Honey chrome extension, it will tell you all the codes when they come out.
Honey is pretty much a scam. It tracks more than just your uses of Honey and it has never given a valid code that I've ever found. Plus I had to scrub my system super hard to clean off all its crappy spy/mal/bloatware.
2) DO subscribe to this thread and wait to be notified.
3) DON'T post to this thread, causing everyone to be notified, unless there are active codes or you want to make people angry.
(PS sorry for notifying everyone with this post, but I currently still hold enough faith in people's ability to read, that I hope, this will be the last post in a while.)

Yeah, doing the same as the guy above. Don't care if anyone bleats at me about it either.

But you haven’t already paid for this digital content, you’ve purchased books from a different vendor.
if you refuse to support dnd beyond, why are you here?

Looks like no Fathers Day sales.
I admit, that was definitely disappointing. Still, they didn't promise anything of the sort, so I was really just getting my hopes up.
