I was really happy when I saw there was a free one shot - just like in the glory days of old on D&D Beyond! Sadly, to claim it you need to go through the new Marketplace, and when I added it to the cart, I can go no further, since having a Canadian address prevents moving on to the payment screen (despite it being free). Instead, non-US customers need to go to https://dndstore.wizards.com/us, and the free adventure is not there.
You can add an additional address, find a location through google maps or whatever, add the appropriate area code for the phone number and it's happy. It's still completely ridiculous that a shipping address is mandatory for a digital-only product, mind you.
EDIT: And for the record, yes, my province was filled out.
i'm mostly pissed that WotC needs my physical address for a purely digital product in the first place. just blatantly doing anything they can to get your info so they can sell it.
I take offense at a free product wanting payment information.
Same. I immediately noped out when I got that far

Active characters:
Carric Aquissar, elven wannabe artist in his deconstructionist period (Archfey warlock) Lan Kidogo, mapach archaeologist and treasure hunter (Knowledge cleric) Mardan Ferres, elven private investigator obsessed with that one unsolved murder (Assassin rogue) Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)
To echo others: I've had this issue several times now (I'm Canadian): the long story short answer is: the new Marketplace doesn't store non-American addresses correctly. You'll just have to re-enter your address every time you go through the checkout process. Yes; even if it SAYS it has stored it, update address anyway. That SHOULD fix it and let you check out normally... WHY this is necessary: who knows. Why is this glitch still in place? See previous.

I’ve got a UK address and downloaded it fine
Yep, works fine in the UK too here.
Might even run it soon.
Yup, I'm having the same issue as you (also Canadian address), and I tried three different browsers in case it was a compatibility issue.
Can people in the UK use Markeplace still to buy products on D&D Beyond? I've had to go to the external Wizard's site since they changed Markeplace.
I can buy through the marketplace for digital but get redirected to one of the dndstore websites if I want to buy physical

Got "hold back the dead" earlier - so it should be working for people in Aus
Turns out my saved addresses didn't have the province field filled out. Fixing that solved the problem.
Thats useful to know so thanks for sharing. Might help us all solve this problem quicker in the future if anyone else has trouble
popped in here to say this same thing—for Canadians, make sure your province is filled in before checking out.
Also, just wanted to say that I am gathering feedback about the free products in the Marketplace. Hopefully we can make this easier down the line.

The older method of just clicking on a "claim" button while logged in was much better! Far fewer steps.
I want the old method back, why do you need my physical address for a digital product? It's patently absurd.
Er ek geng, þat er í þeim skóm er ek valda.

And didn't require us to disclose extra info to WotC that isn't relevant for a digital product and that many of us would prefer not to share.

"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

It actually requires me to SIGN IN to Paypal, not even just give the billing information, despite it being allegedly FREE.
That is not 'merely an address issue'
Edit: In case it was, I checked out their EU site. It isn't even offered there at all.
personally i would like a two-way system for free products where: (even though some may have issues with it)
