First..I did use the search function, either its botched or really noone talking about this... well new book coming later this year
Now... I do wonder if there will be ANY gem dragons in the book...
Or will they neglected and be left out in WotC in-house official books again and its up to the creator fans to pick up the slack? ( Dragons&Treasures, Amethyst Dragon Hoard of Everything )
If WotC would respect the works and even update to 5e/ D&D One art standards ( like the new dragons ) lost/ forgotten dragons from say Dragon Magazine... hmm 65 by Richard Alan Lloyd ( yellow ( WITH wings or its oversized salamander ), orange( tropical dragon ), actual purple... not sub species deep dragon )and later issues. THAT would be truly a tremendus joy! Huh.. a Zinc and Tin dragon would be neat... Copper mixed with either are Bronze and Brass ;)
Can you do that WotC?? At least Gem dragons? Can anyone with contacts with WotC or even Michael Witwer confirm that smidge of info? A yes or no would suffice.
Gem dragons appear in Fizban’s. They’ve been WotC official for years now.
The new book, I believe, is an adventure anthology. So it might give stats for a specific dragon in a specific adventure, but there’s been no mention of using it to release entire new species of dragon.

This. It is not a sourcebook, and won't contain any new information or lore.
As for which dragons will make an appearance, though, you'll just have to wait and see...
