Is SIGIL going to be on MacBook? Ive done some searching and I'm getting both yes and no answers. I've downloaded SIGIL but when i attempt to open it it says unable to open etc etc. Has anyone on a MacBook been able to download and run it?
Well, until it's available for Mac users, I will tell my players NOT to download it. Many only have a free account anyway because they don't trust WotC after the whole OGL fiasco. I kept a master tier subscription for content sharing. Until Sigil is Mac compatible, we'll just stick to Roll20. I was excited at the prospect of the 3D VTT, but DDB disappoints yet again.

Disappointed in DDB, don’t trust WotC…maybe you and your players should try some other game system. Not being snarky, but if you dislike something on that level you will never overlook the issues that you might handwave away in a product from a company you do like. You might be happier overall.
I was really excited about this product. Watched a review of it and it got me super excited. I just purchased Master Tier, and was planning on downloading it when I got home, and started googling other reviews, and saw this. This really took the wind out of my sails :/ My computer is the Mac Mini M4. I'll try to download it when I get home, and see if I can get it to run, but if its not compatible then I guess I'll just ask for my money back.
I'm running into the exact same issue. I have not found any concrete information other than some forums saying it is only for windows at the moment, but it's frustrating because DNDBEYOND themselves have had other posts saying that because it runs of UE5, it shouldn't have any problem running on a Mac. You can run something like Parallels or some other software to try and get it to open, but in my experience these are buggy at best and it doesn't give accurate enough information to be able to run software, especially in its beta state.
Hopefully it is addressed soon. I was hoping to test it with a group here in just a couple of days, looks like that won't happen. It is shocking that they would even release this beta without acknowledging this. It really does not make much sense to me at all. I hope they fix it soon.
I appreciate you posting that link. It makes it more clear that this is really not available for Mac, but it's incredibly short sighted of DNDBEYOND to post a link without having any of those specifications listed. I'll try running it on a PC, but I am going to be completely honest, my Mac is better. I love my M4, it has done better for my day-to-day. There are a few things that I prefer a PC on, but there is a huge group of people that are using the apple infrastructure. Sigil needs to allow this to download on a Mac. It doesn't really make sense for them not to do that. They would be getting more feedback, they would be making it available to more people. It's just disappointing. I am still very much looking forward to it, and I am not a WOTC hater (well, I don't hate enough to stop playing).
If you find out more information, please let me know. I will use my backup Mac to see if I can download something like Parallels or a windows emulator, and if it runs well than I'll let you know exactly what I did.
I hear your frustration. Unfortunately for people like you and I, WOTC doesn't really need to tailor to our specific needs. Hopefully it happens soon, but I am guessing that they won't have it natively running on Mac for quite some time.
The project is effectively dead. It will almost certainly never be on anything but Windows as a separate app and will likely just be scrapped entirely once any desirable assets are ported over to the VTT project.
Canceled my master tier subscription a while back because my playgroup prefers pen and paper, but Sigil had me hyped enough to resubscribe. Thankfully I checked to see if it was compatible with my mac first, and of course it isn't, so we'll be sticking to pen and paper and saving that $72/yr.

The current version is windows only
They've said they'd like to support more platforms in future, but they haven't confirmed anything

for real though, just use a different platform and DDB is perfectly good. dont hate in it
I "bought" the free minis from the market place, are they supposed to show up in Sigil? If so it doesn't seem like it is immediately.
