Ok, so I'm really intrigued by this subclass, and a little sad that it hasn't been adapted for 2024 rules. So I said screw it, and went to create a 2014 character. Now, maybe I'm missing something, and someone here can help me clear it up.
At first level, they get Essence Runes. From what I'm seeing, these can only be charged by expending or using Sorcery Points, which you don't get until 2nd level. Is that an oversight? Or is it intentional, such that once you get to use them, you've already got 2 sorcery points you can use, and 2 runes you can charge?
You can also charge them using an Action, so they're still usable even at L1.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
The above is correct. I'd also like to note that Runechild likely will never get a 2024 version, as it's Critical Role content and they'd have to update it. However, if you own the book, you can make a copy of the 2014 subclass, make a new 2024 subclass, and copy all of the options into the new subclass. Remember to adjust all the 1st- and 2nd-level features to 3rd-level features instead, as is the case for all 2024 subclasses. (Official 2014 subclasses, such as Divine Soul and Lunar Sorcery, work in this way already as examples of how to convert them.)

Oh good lord... Totally missed the part about charging one as an action! Lol
