Hello, I have a Fae wild game based on Candyland I am doing. Long story short, I was trying to think of what kind of mounts they would use there. Any ideas about creatures that could be either beasts of burden, or mounts that would be candy related.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

"Where words fail, swords prevail. Where blood is spilled, my cup is filled" -Cartaphilus
"I have found the answer to the meaning of life. You ask me what the answer is? You already know what the answer to life is. You fear it more than the strike of a viper, the ravages of disease, the ire of a lover. The answer is always death. But death is a gentle mistress with a sweet embrace, and you owe her a debt of restitution. Life is not a gift, it is a loan."
You could just modify some regular beasties - turn a zebra into a peppermint zebra with red and white stripes. Have a milk chocolate grizzly bear ( as a foe), that sort of thing throughout. If you’ve gotten the dragon delvings book look at the second adventure (with the gold dragon) - it would fit right into your campaign.

Gummy bears or gummy worms are the first things that spring to mind.
Sentient giant animal crackers? It’s more of a cookie than candy I suppose, but it’s the first thing that came to my mind.
I feel like any food or snacks thing Is fine.
As for the Zebra idea, it made me think of Zebra Stripes gum.

My DM once presented our party with a handful of horses or an elephant. They pounced on elephant before he even finished describing the scene. His name is Herman and he lives in a stable in Waterdeep where we pay exorbitant amounts for food and boarding.
While not as fantastical & fun as some of the suggestions above, in my groups primary campaign (homebrew from our current DM), we were gifted a 'Draquine' which is a half horse and half dragon (think equestrian dragon).
This is the description in their stat block: A type of Dragon-Horse Chimera created by the Prism and His ally Skarnier the Bronze Dragon as cavalry mounts for the Chromaria. These creatures are extremely intelligent and sturdy, rarely needing sleep, though their diet disturbingly consists mostly of meat. The Draquine's whinny sounds much like a horse if echoed through brass. When they whinny in the night, they are often confused for something spectral, leading the superstitious nearby to hang Holy Symbols from their doors for fear of the perceived dead entering their homes. Draquine form strong bonds with their riders and will defend them viciously, even at the cost of their own lives.
If you want more info, let me know,
Cheers!

Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers; Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas. Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation.

How about chocolate labs (stated as regular dogs for tiny fey or mastiffs for small fey) and peppermint winter wolves?
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
