As a DM I own pretty much all the sourcebooks. My players get all my content shared. I know that I own all the stuff in the starter pack including the Dice, but my players only get the shared books and options.
Aside from a set of dice and a premade character, is there any benefit to a player who has the entire library shared with them, to buy these packs?
EDIT: Not looking to foster the negative opinions of the packs. I just want to understand the content.
If you already own the 2024 PHB and MOTM, you already own all these character options.
None of the dice are new, either, so you may already have gotten them previously through a preorder bonus, subscriber perk, or similar promo. (That said, this is the first time any of those dice have been available to purchase, though, and each of these starter packs are cheaper than any individual dice set.)
The only exclusives here are the premade characters.

I went through looking at the species offered in each Starter Pack. I was rather surprised to discover that I’d made five characters that matched the class-species combos on offer.
Of all the playable species in MotM, 24 are included in the Starter Packs, three (Aasimar, Goliath, Orc) have been updated in the new PHB and two (Changeling, Shifter) in the new Eberron book. I think it’s only the various Genasi who are not accounted for. That’s probably just a matter of the numbers, but I did wonder whether we might see updated Genasi appearing somewhere soon.

If they ever play outside of your game, mostly.

ModeratorYeah, that's a good point. Shared character options are only available for characters assigned to the campaign that's sharing them.

I just got some of them because of the dice sets :-)
