How do most put together a group to play in person? I have played multiple campaigns online and am DM’ing currently. I have been wanting to play in person for a very long time but am having a hard time finding anyone that would be interested, I am open to DM or be a player at someone else’s table, I just don’t know where to look. Any advice would be appreciated.
Local game stores often have old-school message boards with people looking for groups. Online there can be a number of resources depending on where you live. In Seattle, for example, there’s a D&D meetup that’s been going strong for years and is where I’ve found lots of players and groups. To be views, we play in person, just find each other online. And there’s always suggesting to friends, family and co-workers that you’re trying to get a game together.

Heck, anymore they tend to have Discord servers. It's how I ended up in a group doing Tyranny of Dragons.
Check with your local library. There's a chance they might organize one or have space for groups to coordinate games and invite new members.
