I've flagged this thread as a bug, so that it will be tracked, however I will caution that we don't know that this was an error - it could be a design "feature" of these maps.
I'll ask staff to query with Wizards of the Coast, about whether the images are supposed to have the blue dashed lines on them or not and, if not, how we get the maps updated for you all.
Sorry for the necromancy, I know this thread is over 8 years old, but was this ever updated? My copy of the map has the blue lines, and I'd dearly like to get rid of them before printing out the map. I'm wanting to print it out as large as possible to go on the table, and the lines are clearly visible at 300 DPI. For the life of me, I can't find a line-less copy of the map in the original resolution, and I'm not skilled enough in photoshop to remove the lines myself.

There aren't any lines like that on the map in the digital version of Waterdeep: Dragon Heist on D&D Beyond.
