Wonder why they are going with Unlight instead of Faerzress. The energy that suffuses the underdark.
I could be wrong about this, but I don't think Unlight and Faerzress are actually the same thing. Unlight sounds like something the Imaskari developed or derived down there, while Faerzress was there from the get-go before the Imaskari showed up.
also sounds like a good explanation

While possible, it seems like unnecessary duplication of effects, since its effects are pretty much identical. I would assume it's just another name for the same thing -- there's multiple languages in the underdark and the particular word Faerzress appears to be elven.

I think the most likely approach is that they will position Unlight as a specific application/derivation of Faerzress that's unique to the Imaskari. They seem to be describing it as a technique that's specific to them, whereas Faerzress is usable by a wide variety of creatures/societies down there.
we have like ten wizard subclasses we could have used another druid. every ua the wizard is favored,
The way to encourage the design team to do that is for people to provably play Druids via metrics DND can measure:Make their Druids on DND Beyond, & play said Druids in campaigns via Maps.
That's where they get their data from in terms of what's "wanted".
