I'm looking for some advice on recreating characters from the video game Octopath Traveler and bringing their concepts (Backstory, Background, occupation, etc.) into D&D format. For example, I took the former knight, Olberic Eisenberg, as a STR-CON based Battle Master Fighter because, in the game, he is THE tank and draws attention to himself. Another example is that Ophilia was an obvious choice as a Life Domain Cleric. And of course, Cyrus is an absolute Evoker. Another thing to note is that these characters are Human, so in 5.5e, they get a 2nd Origin Feat.
But I'm having some issues trying to figure out the Classes, Backgrounds, and potentially the 2nd Origin Feats for the rest of the characters. For example, which Bard subclass is appropriate for Primrose? Is she Glamour, or a Dancer because she IS a dancer in the video game? Or, dare I say it, a Valor Bard?
And don't get me started with Tressa and Alfyn (Merchant and Apothecary in the video game, respectively).
So, for those who have played Octopath Traveler with a passion, what are your opinions of how I should create the whole party as D&D characters? What would you suggest? This is with their choice of Class, Subclass, Background (5e and 5.5e) and their 2nd Origin Feat since they're all Humans. For the Spellcasters, what spells are perfect for them?
Note: no Multi-classing and Homebrew allowed. Same for "secondary classes" from the video game.
Yes, I know my Alchemist is different and more powerful but... Alfyn was almost as cool as me. Great game! I played it twice and Alfyn was totally my man.
Whoa...! There seems to be a misunderstanding! I'm not making an Octopath campaign. I've never been a DM; too much pressure. I'm just looking for advice on how to recreate the Travelers in D&D optimally.

Oh, it is pretty straightforward then
Ophilia, Cleric Light Domian (Since she does fire stuff)
Cyrus, Wizard Scribes (He is a researcher)
Tressa, Bard Eloquence (To convince people to buy)
Olberic, Fighter Champion (He was a general)
Primrose, Bard Dance (She dances)
Aflyn, Artificer Alchemist (He is this)
Therion, Rogue Thief (He is a theif)
H'aanit, Ranger Hunter (She is one)
The only one who isn't explicitly a class is Tressa because she just sells stuff. She doesn't make things like an Artificer. The rest are pretty straightforward.

Now this helpful, but I kinda disagree on some of these choices in terms of the Travelers' starting job abilities:
Ophilia: is a tough choice between Light and Life Domains, although with the new School of Magic Adept Feats from Arcana Unleashed, this may help in a way.
Cyrus: Scribe is an interesting choice considering his profession, yet in combat, I can't help but think of him as an Evoker (Evocation Wiz).
Tressa: The subclass actually makes more sense now when I think about it. Super helpful
Olberic: I disagree with the choice of Champion. I say this because Olberic's Warrior ability "Incite" is very similar to the Battle Master's technique "Goading Attack." Also the Support skill "Cover" sounds similar to BM's "Bait & Switch" technique.
Primrose: an obvious choice.
Alfyn: I have found that making him an Alchemist is a good choice.
Therion: Thief to Thief does sound good, but what about making him an Arcane Trickster? Some spells can be used almost like Taurus and Web at certain levels
H'aanit: Did you forget about Linde? To me, H'aanit is a Beast Master. Use either Summon Beast or Conjure Animals, and you have your beastial allies.

I want to be Alfyn! He was the best character and had the hardest boss. Here is my character sheet: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/looking-for-players-groups/232911-2024-alchemist-heydan-seegil

Edit: Also, you should use my Red Dragon Wrymling Herbertologiitktantar as a boss in the campaign. Much like Alfyn's boss he has different effect thanks to the advent of Alchemy. https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/6814487-herbertologiiktantar
