I just joind a group and we are working through our character builds. I am going to be a druid werebear, but i cant choose my humanoid counterpart. Should i just go with human? What would be a good race?
It's up to you, with whatever feels right for the character vision in your head, then expand on the background from there.
You said werebear - do you mean that your character will start play as a Lycanthrope, or that you will be using the druid wildshape to transform to a bear?
I’m going for a similar concept, using ghost wise halfling. Seeing as were bears are usually lawful good, and GW Halflings settle in isolated communities. My flavor is that one of the tribes settled in a remote wood and came across a werebear who befriended and protected their tribe and who passed on their “gift” to those in the tribe they deemed worthy. My question is, how do I add the werebear form into dndbeyond as a player character?

Halfling.

Yea, i will be druid who is a lycanthrope. So, i wont need to use wild shape and beast form spells that often.
Wow, that's amazingly powerful! Are the other characters lycanthropes too, or similar creatures?
Sounds an interesting idea for a campaign!

Does your DM impose something like bloodlust when you are in hybrid form?
