Using only UA and official content from the handbooks, plus all Matt Mercer Critical Role homebrew officially recognized by WOTC (Blood Hunter, Gunslinger, etc.), how would one create a runepriest-like character? There are multiple homebrews, one of which I'm making myself and one very good one by @SquigsTheTruth, but without access to those, how would one do a runepriest character? Some ideas:
-Artificer with calligrapher's supplies X/Rune Scribe 5
-Celestial Warlock, Eyes of the Rune Keeper invocation
-Blood Hunter (same stat priority as 4e Runepriest, plus flavour with the Crimson Rite and stuff)

i like linguistics and, well, d&d, obviously. this bio hadn't been updated for 3 years so i figured i'd do that.
I would definitely go artificer with calligraphy and/or painter supplies. (I am making a rune mage artificer subclass as soon as we are allowed to, if there isn't an official one by then). I think artillerist fits better than alchemist.

Yeah, definitely Artillerist, as smithing is sometimes mentioned for runepriests but potions have nothing to do with them.
