I imagine these Mark races are explained in the book, but just enabling playtest or looking through the market it can be confusing as well as bloating our race selections in the char builder
I know the whole Mechanical element, but I am simply wondering, What makes a half-orc a mark of finding Half-orc?
In the eberron book (and probably that PDF stormknight provided) it explains that there are 12 (13?) "Dragonmarked" houses. And within these houses, there was a chance for someone to have a dragonmark (it can appear later in life).
The dragonmark is like a boon that makes them naturally good at a particular skill and have a few innate magic abilities associated with that skill.
Naturally, each dragonmarked house in eberron specializes in a product or service that coincides with their dragonmark, though very few members of the house will actually have them.
It is all directly tied to the story of Eberron they are called dragonmarks. They are like a magical birthmark of lineage that grants status and power within the world of eberron each mark is tied to a different high house in the setting.

Not that you post isn't correct, you are just late to the party.

I was just confused on the Lore side of these, since it sounds like it has a few great story oppertunities, but I can't figure it out.
Help Pls?
They're all from the Wayfarer's Guide to Eberron.

The "Mark of..." races are available as playtest, due to being released as Unearthed Arcana.
