Considering it looks like it has the features of kobold fight club and DND toolbox (2 tools I use all the time to plan and run encounters) and a few extra features for good measure, I am definitely looking forward to it.
We already have a member of our play group who has a master tier subscription, so I haven't bothered with a subscription so far. But I will be getting a hero subscription in order to test the encounter builder.
The subscriptions are worth it, especially for the content sharing feature, Though I'm still hoping for another sale soon so I can finish out my collection. The compendium is so much easier to use than lugging around 15 pounds of books.
I've not used DND Toolbox, and I like fight club but also find the encounter running tool a little frustrating and haven't been able to figure it out. I usually just use it to generate the encounters and check my math on what a party can handle.

For me, the absolute best thing about the Encounter Builder tool will be pre-built encounters.
Running Storm Kings Thunder and want to tweak an encounter or check how it measures up to your party? Just click the button in the adventure to load the encounter from your purchased adventure into the Encounter Builder and BAM there it is.
I'm sure Adam will go into much greater detail as the tool progresses and there is more that can be shown.
I'm just super happy that D&D Beyond now has enough of the fundamentals covered that the team can start delivering such impactful tools and features.
The encounter builder tool is probably the single biggest thing for me since dndbeyond went live. The character sheet revamp is up there for sure, but I think I’m even more excited about this.

I saw this in the tool section and started giggling maniacally!
