I've never watched/listened to Critical Role. I heard about DnDB through the podcast "Greetings, Adventurers!" (Formerly known as "Drunks and Dragons.") I was the first person in my playgroup to test it out, with the wizard I played last year, and I enjoyed it a lot - it made managing my spells SO MUCH EASIER. I evangelized pretty hard about it. I think all of us are on DnDB now except for one holdout. Being able to share purchased content with everyone in a campaign makes things really nice.

"We're the perfect combination of expendable and unkillable!"
I bought the Essentials Kit this summer and it included codes for DNDBeyond.

=========================== Laugh at life or life will laugh at you.
Current D&D Characters: Kromen Flintfist, Hill Dwarf Order of the Scribes Wizard/Armorer Artificer Eiphrok, Half-Orc Oath of Glory Paladin/Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer
I was watching a Nerdarcy youtube video when they mentioned it. I played around with it, then a month later bought a Legendary Bundle. I have been adding to my collection ever since; not everything but most.

I learned of it from Critical Role.
Dragon Talk mentioned DDB a few times when it started up, so I signed up to see what it was like, and ended up paying for (and using) the service.
