So, just checked out the Trello Roadmap for D&D Beyond (here for those who haven't seen it) and it makes me wonder what that project entails exactly. Does it enable us to build our own classes, equipment, and adventures? Does it allow us to design new rules, or add or modify existing ones to our own personal files on the platform? Does anyone have intel at all on this?
The homebrew revamp may or may not include equipment and base classes (probably not, but will set up for them).
The current homebrew tools where not designed for public use, they were the tools the devs used to make official content work on the character sheet, and they were created as needed (that is why they are clunky, difficult to use, some options dont do anything, and you can't do stuff too different from official content).
The homebrew revamp will be a complete remake of the homebrew tools using a cleaner UI and more versatile modifiers.

Awesome, that's really good to hear! Thanks for clearing that up for me :)
