For those of you who haven't seen the announcement, Kobold Press has started a kickstarter for Tome of Beasts 2.
I really really really really would love to see the three monster tomes from Kobold Press available in D&D Beyond - I would gladly pay to not have to hand enter all of the monsters they provide into my account as homebrew.
I backed this because of course I did. Kobold Press are awesome and their first Tome of Beasts and Creature Codex are beautiful and useful resources for monsters. In the comments, someone asked about getting their stuff added to D&D Beyond. Their response was to talk about it on here and see if the DDB team was interested in doing so.
With that in mind, I am throwing my support behind this initiative. I would love to see (and be willing to pay for) Kobold Press material on here--especially the Tome of Beast and Creature Codex collections.
They've said that bringing third party paid content to DDB is a difficult proposition due to the legalities of it, so I wouldn't expect anything any time soon.
Are the legalities associated with their agreement with WOTC, or is there something else going on?
Here is the advice Kobold Press stated in their kickstarter comments:
"We would love to offer this and the other monster tomes on D&D Beyond! It's not up to us though--your best bet is to post about that on the DDB forums and/or send them an email about it.
The more people who ask, the more likely it becomes..."

All the more reason to speak out on the things we feel would be worth the effort to add.
It's about to unlock two more stretch goals! For those that are unaware, they accept backer submitted monsters for publication consideration. One of these stretch goals brings backer submissions up to 50!
I just want to say that I fully support Kobold Press and their products - particularly the bestiaries. Both of the currently available KP bestiaries for 5e are outstanding and I pull from them as much as possible to keep players on their toes. Swolbold FTW!
Aaaaaand another stretch goal gets hit! Creatures of Leng WILL be in the book! Three nest stretch goals are; Elementals, Additional Encounter and MORE backer submissions!
I would add my support to adding the Creature Codex and Tome of Beasts to D&D Beyond if at all possible. I have both in hardback and use them in my campaigns. There are always legal questions regarding companies working together. Here's hoping this gains some traction.

Heck yes I'd love this!
Well, they set new records for themselves in both backers and revenue. New stretch goals for $320k and $340k: Creatures of Leng and Elementals!
I don't know about you guys, but I'm already hard at work on my backer-submitted monster entry.
