I finally got my wife onto Beyond. Yay! However, I've been running her character on the side here on Beyond to keep track of her progress as we level through a campaign. However, now that she's on here, I want her to resume control of the character and wanted to know if I could place this character into the campaign as an unassigned character or if I would need to build it from the ground up as an unassigned from within the campaign? The main problem is that there are a few ability scores I don't remember the base numbers being. So, it would take some trial and error to get the character right. We are at level 11 right now, so it could be worse...just trying to make it easier on myself. lol
I got it. I just opened a tab with the made character and just followed all the ability score increases, proficiencies and feats that I did with the other one and found the "core" numbers you spoke of and everything lined right up. Perfect. Only took about 5 minutes. Easy peasy. Thanks. Now I can delete the one on my profile and my wife can take over her own character now.
At the top right is a Join link. Copy this and open the link yourself in a new browser. You will be given option to make or add a character. Add the character.
Go back to your campaign page, refreshing if needed, and you should see the added character. Click Unassign.
Your wife can then join the campaign, using the join link, and choose to take control of the unassigned character. While she in control of the character if you ever delete the campaign, that character becomes hers on her account.

Deleting the campaign isn't actually one of the steps. The character is hers as soon as she claims it. But you are now able to delete the campaign if you no longer need it.

In the Character Editing you should be able to see the "core" numbers. If you can't find it I'll show you Friday. Lol

It seems you don't need the answer anymore, but yes, you can add it to a campaign unassigned for her to claim.
Just for future reference, how would I do that? I just ended up rebuilding the character, copying everything over.
If you haven't already create a campaign.
