I am currently running descent into Avernus, and it's going great. The Player characters are almost done in Baldurs Gate, and soon they'll be heading to Candle Keep, but one of the characters is a centaur. Up until this point it hasn't been an issue, but the method in which the books describe leaving Candle Keep is by griffons. I really want to keep this part in the adventure, but I also want a good way of transporting a centaur who can not ride a griffon. One way I can think of doing it would be to have several griffons carry the centaur by straps or something.
Really interested to see what ideas people have about this.
I just skimmed that part, and doesn't look to have any combat or other encounters. It's just a transitional block. "Here are griffons with saddles, ride the griffons, land, disembark, the griffons fly away after a short rest" (abridged version).
The griffons are just a narrative element. No reason it couldn't be just a collosal friendly dragon with a deck strapped to its back for everyone to ride on. Or, everyone rides a griffon except the centaur who has to pay to rent a levitating carriage pulled by two griffons all fancy style. The carriage ride could be for a nominal fee, or a favor in the future.

Boldly go
That is fair, I think I'll just borrow a skyship from Eberron or something like that
