My only concern is why they went with a vertical sidebar. Most streams seem to be very tight for space in that dimension, a strip across the bottom would cover up less of the camera footage
There's no evidence that it's a static layout - I expect that the layout will be configurable.

I hope you're right, but not expecting it considering they haven't given configurable layouts for anything else

Also I think they mentioned that is only in concept right now they have not tarted yet so that may not be what it is like when implemented.
