Ignoring the fact that the only "pure mount" character right now is a small Artificer with a Steel Defender... yeah, ignoring that fact: What would need to be done to make the ULTIMATE mounted character, besides the Mounted Combatant feat and getting a Saddle of the Cavalier?
Crossbows/Lance and Shield perhaps, but besides that?

Formerly Devan Avalon.
Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
Yeah, centaurs don't get the benefits of mounting. They probably should, because there's no way they can ride any other creature, but they should be able to hold a lance with one hand.

Some sort of Paladin after they get Summon Steed.
Cavalier Fighter.
Some sort of Centaur.

A lot of roleplay befriending and earning the respect of an elder dragon... then magical lance, magical saddle, etc would be the icing on the cake.
Taking the dual wielder feat so you can use double lances. Also being a small character so you could use a greater amount of beast as mounts.
So a small battle Smith/cavalier or paladin/cavalier with a lance. (Actually, if you care more about find greater steed, bard gets it sooner).
That is so oddballs.

Yeah 4th and 5th level half caster exclusive spells are a joke. A bard can get at level 10 what a ranger or paladin won't get till level 17.
Just be a centaur?
Be in Dragonlance during the War of the Lance, and convince them to let you ride a Silver Dragon, and have a Dragonlance?

Centaurs don't count as mounted RAW.
If centaurs are house ruled as mounted, then single classed cavalier would probably be good.
