I'm not the most technically-savvy person out there . . . still clicking around figuring things out.
In any case, wondering how adventures would look - would be great to get a screen shot or small sample of LMoP or other example without having to purchase (like dmsguild).
Is it the exact same thing, word for word as starter set adventure with all the fancy additions? I don't really get it . . .
The adventures are exactly word-by-word, art-work by art-work, maps by maps equal to the physical copies. Monsters, spells, items, actions, skills are all linked and tooltiped. The layout is as the free compendium is now.
I have LMoP and for that each chapter is on one web page with the different sections hyperlinked with a box on the left side of the screen. Each monster and magic item is hyperlinked to the full details page for it. When you first open it it has a table of content hyperlinked so you can go to specific sections. Maps can be open in a separate tab that has a high res version of the map. The cragmaw hideout has hyperlinks to go to each room. The other areas do not have that (wish they did).
FYI my experience is on the iPad. The iPhone isn't similar except the left hyperlink box is a drop down menu at the top. Hope this helps.
I wouldn't expect you to. But I think in the near future having a PDF preview of something like the adventure out of the DMG, the Starter set, or something simple and original would be nice to give people a better idea of what they can expect to get out of the adventure books.
I'm mostly interested in how the encounters or background information is presented. I get how the monsters, spells, feats, items, etc work but what is the presentation for the actual adventure like?

Speaking strictly about the Compendium, the adventure is presented as you can see the Basic Rules Compendium now. Same order as the physical book, same artwork, same maps, same encounter tables. Monsters, spells, skills are all tool tipped and linked.
I can understand the frustration of people wondering how this will look. Early on we had that one screenshot from CoS. Having a few more similar shots from that or any adventure, really, would help answer a lot of people's questions as to how it looks in the Compendium. maybe something to run up the chain and get permission to share.
I actually have a question about that. Is the "index" page giving any of the content away? For instance, is it like the page after you click on "View the Basic Rules"?
Note: Not asking you to break the rules or post an image. Just looking to make a Feedback/Feature Request post.

The index of each book does not give any content away. It is like the index of the Basic Rules.
I really wish they would have made Death House, or The SKT intro adventures available for free so we could see an actual example. (These modules are available as PDF for free from dnd website.)

Completely agree. If it's anything like Roll 20's, then I want no part of it. I guess I'll plop $25 down to find out... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The adventures really look just exactly like the rest of the site--if you look at the basic rules, just imagine that the text is saying "There's a dungeon with a goblin in it" instead of "Add your proficiency bonus to your attack roll".
The pages with maps have a map on them. All of the art seems to be represented in one way or another. The books just don't have the graphic design treatment of published D&D books, they're black text on a white background.
It looks just like the basic rules. If you're able to read and follow the basic rules and appreciate the presentation, you should have no problem with the adventure books.
Thanks. Yeah, I knew it was all contained within Beyond but just didn't want a digital copy that I couldn't then print things out from for use at the table. Thanks for the response.

i would also really like to see a sample of one of the adventures.
By the site rules, I can't do that.

Are there player maps? Or only the DM versions?

Are we able to print maps, etc out from this? I'd like to know before I purchase.
