i just prefer having physical book i can persoanlly touch and feel and store but i use dndbeyond for pretty much everthing i do so i was wondering if there is a way to unlock content on dndbeyond if i have a physical copy
or does buying the book from the store come with a physical copy? i honestly didnt really consider this untill after i made the pose because to price point seems too good for that to be the case.
Currently, no, there is no way to directly unlock content you have purchased outside D&D Beyond for use inside D&D Beyond. Buying a book in D&D Beyond does not give you a physical copy. The only exception at this time is, per this tweet, if you preorder a copy of Mythic Odysseys of Theros through your FLGS, you could get a code for 50% off the D&D Beyond version.
The only physical product that comes with a code for Beyond is the Essentials Kit.
Buying a physical product does not entitle a customer to a digital copy in any case anywhere else either, unless the physical copy says so or if the company is doing a promotion or something. None of the physical Taylor Swift albums I bought gives me the right to download her songs digitally anywhere else. The hundreds of books I physically own on my bookshelf does not entitle me to any of their digital copies either.
