Im thinking of trying to get some friends of mine to play DnD, we've all been friends forever and I've played DnD the last few years with a separate group of friends. I now have the experience both as a player/DM to tailor game experiences to differing player taste so I asked today if my friends would be interested in playing. I'm not sure whether they'll keep it up or not but generally they seem open to the idea and understand that its me wanting to share a pass time I love with them.
So what should I run for them? I was kind of thinking of Dragonheist or Lost Mines as I've heard they're both good start adventures to do and kind of want to stay away from Icespire as Im also playing through that currently and don't want to ruin it for myself.
What do you guys think is a good starting out adventure for people?
Lost Mines of Phandelver is a great new player adventure, though you do have to be careful at the start as some of the opening can be deadly to a level 1 party that isn't tactical or if you run your encounters too smart.

free adventure: The Burning Goblins. however read through as the ending will most likely end in a TPK if played wrong.
I just want to tell everyone "happy gaming" and actually mean it. Whatever your game is, just have fun with it, it is after all, just a game.
