Is there a way to Trial TOA? or any other module for that matter. I am interested in purchasing it but already have the book and not sure what I would gain. If it makes it easier for referencing that's fantastic but dropping that much just to see if it's for me is a bit much.

The only way to "trial" stuff is to be added to a campaign with someone who has that content and also has a master subscription AND has campaign sharing enabled. The major advantages to buying on here (at least in my opinion) are:
Hi-res versions of maps (useful if you print them or use a monitor as a board)
Links directly from the adventure to monster stat blocks and entries
Anchor links that take you to the part of the adventure you click on
The entire adventure text becomes searchable via the top search bar, however, there's no way to specify which sources to search at the moment (so it will return results from PHB, SRD, etc. as well)
If you find none of those things useful, I'd stick with the physical book. Being a new player, I've found DDB extremely useful, though I had only purchased the physical version of the PHB and nothing else before investing in DDB.
Honestly, there hasn't been a whole lot of work done on the adventure side in DnD Beyond (yet?). I wouldn't run a campaign from it as the only source if I didn't have a computer in front of me, preferably with an extra monitor. (There's no way to say, pin a map so I can lookup the room descriptions).
Adventures pretty much are just whatever the book has, with some links to creatures where appropriate. Although having the images directly from the books allows you to send them to players without just holding a book out for a second. Being text searchable helps, but since you can't search multiple chapters it is still a bit clunky.
I do wish they would put Death House or Great Upheaval on here as free resources since they were available at WotC website for free, so potential purchasers could get a solid idea of what a campaign module looks like on here.
