I really like the new downtime stuff. I'm actually building a program that helps make extended downtime easier to keep track of. Provides time left, money spent and earned, etc.
I love the celestial pact warlock. I’m so excited to be able to make a warlock who is inherently good, and can have a patron who is ALSO inherently good. The hype train is going full speed

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
If I had to choose only one thing from this book, I would choose the "Life Transference" spell.
I've been talking about the need for a spell like this for years, and finally, it is here. Necromancy is a step closer to conforming to it's description in PHB - a school that "explores the cosmic forces of LIFE, death and undeath".

I agree! Just started a grave domain tortle last week and in our first fight I busted out Life Transference. Since I am the buff/range I don't often worry about getting hurt and for being level six casting life transference almost completely healed our bard from very low hp.
I wish it was an exclusive spell for wizards, though. Clerics already have tons of healing spells, while wizards have zero. Sure, wizards are kings of utility spells, but clerics have those, too (Scrying, Locate Object, Find Traps and Clairvoyance to name a few).

3) All of the above.
I think we can all agree the single best thing about Xanathar is Sylgar.

I have a new favourite thing: using the "This Is Your Life" section for a session 0.
Honestly, while I love all the options for both players and DMs, my favorite thing is all the little quotes from Xanathar.
Yeah, the commentary in the new books is pretty amusing.
