Worth noting: Grappler is, under normal circumstances, entirely worthless. Tavern Brawler is not and would actually make some sense on an Unarmed Combat fighter, but anything you can do with Grappler, you can do without Grappler simply by forcing an enemy prone and then grappling them. A grappled creature has speed 0 and thus cannot stand back up, which gives you advantage on melee attacks against them and gives them disadvantage on melee attacks against anyone else. You get all the benefits of "pinning" with Grappler without having to also suffer being restrained.
It's not even really a stretch to imagine - you're simply ground-and-pounding the enemy, like an MMA fighter does. Take them to the ground, then punch them until it works.
Lucky for me I don't have to deal these kinds of shenanigans at my table. If there is a weapon on the ground or in a rack or otherwise not in your possession, it takes your action to grab it.
The reason for this being, if you went through the trouble of disarming somebody and didn't have a followup attack, then the guy you just disarmed could pick up his weapon with no penalty and attack you with it.
