Hey fellow green well not as green as you but I’m really tryna join a group would you opt into training whilst me que for a group? I definitely need to know anything tht would help me learn the game and be a better comp to my fellow PC’s
*Currently have been playing in a pretty non serious campaign on Roll20 for a few months. I understand most of the basic rules (hit rolling, ability checks, class features, spell casting, and some other simple things) but still need to figure out some of the more complicated things. I'm hoping to get more experience with some of the more "hardcore" mechanics like light levels, exhaustion, diseases, and other things that force more careful play.
What type of gaming would you prefer?(combat heavy or role play heavy)
*I prefer role playing but combat definitely is important too. Characters need those risks to push them in role playing, and it keeps everyone interested for longer.
First off I am a total new player( no experience except watching some critical role videos). Hope this means I'm still able to join, bc Im excited to learn.
Second, I think I would prefer a more combat heavy style but this being a first for me I don't know what would be better.
Lastly my time zone is US Eastern, though I do work nights so my schedule can be weird sometimes.
Hope to be able to join a willing group to take me on and get hand dirty in some DND playing.
None but I know enough about DND in general to know the games work and how to roleplay and battle :D I did have one person try to teach me by doing a 1 on 1 quick rp/fight but he was also quite new.
What type of gaming would you prefer? (combat heavy or role-play heavy)
Roleplay heavy, I love doing character-related things but I think combat is always needed to keep things interesting and push stories forward in some cases.
Your time zone? (for coordinating games)
GMT+1 but very flexible for time, wouldn't mind waking up early or staying up late.
I know a fair amount but have never played a game. Lots of viewing experience watching games and youtube campaigns (Critical Role, Heroes & Halfwits, etc.)
What type of gaming would you prefer?(combat heavy or role play heavy)
Whatever is required to best blend with and balance the party, but I find the roleplay elements to be my favorite.

A friend and I love this game and want to play together but we don't have a group so we are looking for others to play with and a DM.
What is your experience with DND 5E? A homebrew with my family about 3 years back. Currently in a CoS game on Saturday evenings and was in a Lost Mines campaign that sadly fell through.
What type of gaming would you prefer?(combat heavy or role play heavy) I really enjoy RP and character development, but I'm personally more of a combat guy. I'd say a 60/40 RP/Combat is great

I have played one campaign and a few one-offs of 5E. I have played many games of 3.5E prior to 5E.
What type of gaming would you prefer?(combat heavy or role play heavy)
Preferably a good mix, but not an issue if it leans either way. If I had to choose I would say Combat heavy.
