Welcome to Arivand, a quiet and peaceful World… or so you’ve been told. Rumors of dark times coming have begun to spread through the small towns and villages like a wildfire, igniting panic and fear. Are you willing to pack your bags and journey to unravel the mystery?Gear up and prepare to be an explorer, warrior, diplomat, and all around adventurer. After all you might be Arivands only hope in stopping what’s to come.
Hey Everyone, my names Gavin and I’m planning to run a mid to long term DND campaign in my home-brew world and setting. I have a little bit of DM experience, but this will be my first time running a full home-brew campaign. Role-play, lore, discovery, and combat are the main focuses, as you will be leaving behind the small town you’ve called home and venturing off into the great unknown.
While this is home-brew all DND races, classes, etc are welcome. I only ask that players have a understanding of the game and rules, and an openness to learn and portray their character. And that players are 18+.
Lastly sessions will be held on Saturdays from 6-9 PM PST, either weekly or bi weekly just depending on players availability and what’s going on in life, so expect a little flexibility every now and then. I have tried to put together a party before but received a lot of messages from people who were asking for completely different days and times to play, so please ensure that my timezone and availability will line up with when yours.
If your interested in playing or have any questions please respond to the questions below in a message on here, or on discord Bront3oh3#4169.
name:
age:
experience:
what kind of setting would you be looking for:
favorite part of dnd:
any character ideas?
what do you expect from me as a dm?
how talkative are you on a scale from one to 10?
are you familiar with roll20
Any other questions or comments?
I will review all applications and get back to everyone as soon as I can. Session 0/1 is expected to begin October 16th, but I would like to get together with everyone on discord or roll20 prior to that just to talk things over and make sure everyone gets along. Anyways, thank you for reading and hopefully Ill talk to you soon.
Experience: I have DMed a few sessions and have been worldbuilding for many years.
What kind of setting would you be looking for: Anything is cool with me. I do tend to prefer either super fantastical or grim dark fantasy. (I know they are polar opposite xD)
Favorite part of dnd: Seeing how imaginative people can be and watching ideas work perfectly or crash and burn horrifically. Either way it's fun :D
Any character ideas?: I have been stewing on wanting to play one of three characters. A divination wizard who is slowly losing his mind. A cheerful young "bard" who made a pact with a fey in order to be a bard like his dad was. Or a circle of spores druid who is a goblin.
What do you expect from me as a dm?: I just expect you to do your best and hopefully have fun!
How talkative are you on a scale from one to 10?: Most of the time I'm probably a 4 (I tend to listen more then speak) but if I feel comfortable I can easily be an 8 or 9.
Are you familiar with roll20: Have not personally used it. Ive only played in person.
experience: been a player for two campaigns in the last four to six months
what kind of setting would you be looking for: no preference
favorite part of dnd: role playing as a character & building relationships & experiences with other characters, either being pc or npc. the interactions & conversations are really what make dnd as fun as it is for me
any character ideas? i’d most likely either play my high elf druid character or my gnome bard; however, i’m probably leaning towards the druid
what do you expect from me as a dm? conduct the sessions responsibly, consistently, diplomatically, & fairly. i also appreciate dms that don’t take offense to players’ own ideas or critiques, it shows maturity
how talkative are you on a scale from one to 10? honestly, probably a nine or ten. i become comfortable quickly
are you familiar with roll20? i’ve used it for the two campaigns i’ve been in
Any other questions or comments? my discord is shaelynn#7377 :)
what kind of setting would you be looking for: high fantasy, but willing to try anything at least once
favorite part of dnd: pretending to be someone else
any character ideas? I have a few unplayed characters here on D&D Beyond that I could share with you.
what do you expect from me as a dm? …an open mind and possibly the “rule of cool”
how talkative are you on a scale from one to 10? depending on the mood of the game/party, anywhere from a 3 to an 8…
are you familiar with roll20? yep, I sure am!
Any other questions or comments? Discord: gyndius#9705 Also, I’m married, so at most I would only be able to commit to playing every other weekend. The wife would like to occasionally send a weekend with me not playing D&D.
experience: I played in a campaign for a few months, but I have experience roleplaying. I think i got the rules of the game and what dnd means pretty well
what kind of setting would you be looking for: Anything that's not futuristic or cyber stuff. I prefer dark fantasy.
favorite part of dnd: definitely roleplaying and character creation
any character ideas? I want to make a new character, probably a tiefling that's a warlock or a cleric
what do you expect from me as a dm? /i expect you to know how to manage the organizational part of the campaign and be open and communicative, if you need help, and we can help, I'm sure people would be happy to help as long as you ask about it :)
how talkative are you on a scale from one to 10? probably a 6? I'm not very talkative but I can't say I'm quiet either
are you familiar with roll20? yep, the other campaign I played was played on roll20 too
Any other questions or comments? Discord is eeriluna#3842
Hi, I don't know if you are still accepting applications to your D&D Monday campaign, but I decided to apply just in case.
name: Em
age: 18
experience: around 2 years of actual play for D&D as well as about 5 years of watching and listening to online games.
what kind of setting would you be looking for: I am looking for a world that allows for full character development and allows the players to explore aspects of the world that they enjoy. I personally love a more fantasy aspect mixed in with normal adventures. I love personal intrigue and connecting backstories to the world.
favorite part of dnd: Roleplay and exploration.
any character ideas: a couple, but my favorite part of dnd is creating a character that fits in with the world, so I like to work with my DM to create parts of my backstory.
what do you expect from me as a dm: I expect my set boundaries to not be crossed, and I expect you to take into consideration every players feelings and happiness. I personally, love when different aspects of a world are explored, like politics. I want to make sure everyone, including the dm is having a good time playing;
how talkative are you on a scale from one to 10: with people I am comfortable with, 8. I do like to let people have their moments though. I wouldn't interrupt people, as that is one of the things I hate to have happened to me.
are you familiar with roll20: yep, around 2 years of experience, although I am by no means an expert.
Any other questions or comments: I would love to learn more about the world and what you have planned, but overall not off the top of my head.
