So I have a mish-mash of experiences with Dnd, I have played on and off in small campaigns since high school ( I'm 24 now) to varying success, often short-lived. I am a creative who loves to design, plan and draw characters but am uncertain about my in-person roleplaying chops, something I'd love to improve (I figure it's a muscle that strengthens with use). I do not want there to be an expectation that I "owe" art to the group because I am an artist, I would rather that when I do art it's a gift because of naturally enjoying the game and experiences I'm sharing with others.
Currently I'm part of a small group that plays Zweihander, a game that is definitively table-top but not Dnd, and while it has been wonderful because of the regularity with which we've been able to meet up, I've been missing Dnd more and more recently. I'm also on a DnD discord RP server where little one-shots are often run, but I find that the character creation is a little limited for my taste (there is a strict adherence to rules or implied visual rules, like Orcs not having horns), and things are heavily regulated (gold and exp gain, or what items are level-appropriate for your character to gain or use) as well as character growth difficult to achieve (because there is no proper campaign during which development can be meaningfully directed).
[Edit: I have been in a consistent dnd group for about 5 months now, literally joined one the day I posted this, though I am still looking to expand my horizons! End of Edit]
I ran a tiny bit of the Storm King's Thunder campaign before that fell apart, but otherwise have little to no existing experience with Dnd Official campaigns [Edit technically I am now somewhat familiar with Dragon of Icespire Peak End of Edit] I'd love a well-thought out homebrew world or to experience any of the campaigns.
DM Assistance I genuinely enjoy world building and plot creation (foreshadowing and plot twists and reveals are all wonderful things, more enjoyable without knowledge of them admittedly but still wonderful nonetheless when pulled off well), and I also enjoy making asset work (NPC sketches and quest items), but don't feel confident with the on-the-fly mental prowess needed as a DM - I'd be happy to bounce ideas with the DM and can of course keep a secret. In an ideal world I can make things without knowing what they're for so I get to enjoy the surprise too, but I know that can't always be an option, and in the instances where I've written stuff for even small one-shots, having a second opinion can be invaluable.
Twitch I have relatively little experience with Twitch in general, as well as streaming set-up, but I am willing to invest time, energy, and some money to have proper stuff for myself. I wouldn't consider myself a proper entertainment personality and I'm not looking specifically to make money (If I have to choose between investing in this as a hobby and enjoying it verses investing in this as a business and not, I'd rather enjoy it, though of course making money doing something I enjoy is never a negative) but in terms of core goals, I'm looking to make new friends and capture some of the joy I feel like others have created and shared with me as a viewer. Being able to revisit recorded content for myself is something I'd also like to be able to do, especially to make art (or animatics) of moments I really enjoyed. Ideally there would be an off-stream test run once or twice so the other streamers and I could get a feel for each other and see if I mesh well with the group dynamic before moving forward, if this was something you were looking to work out.
hi! i'm looking for players for my homebrew campaign! there is only me and another player and i hope to get more people to play through dnd beyond. I've dm'ed with a artist before and i assure you no one will expect you to do art cuz i am doing the art myself but you are welcome to do any art you want. i'm happy to bounce ideas off you if you'd like. hope you join

I play less dnd than I'd like and listen to more dnd than I should.
