D&D Discord Community looking for players with DM experience

I am one of a few admins on a D&D discord community. We have a smaller group of people, most of which DM and play. So if you have found yourself in sort of a "forever DM" type situation, our server would be great for you, as we run about 5-7 games a week currently. And you would actually be able to play! These include ongoing campaigns, one shots, and pick up games. Our DM's are free to use whatever platform they are comfortable using when running a game. So whether you use Roll20, or AboveVTT, or Foundry, or whatever you want, that's fine. We have members from all over the world in many different time zones. And we have a decent number of people in the UK, even though we are US based. We are also a smaller community and intend to keep it as such. It won't be the same people in every game, but over time you will get to know everyone that plays. Edit: We aren't looking for people to only DM. As we sit now, we have a good balance of players and DM's. We are just looking to add a few more people that would like to play, and maybe in the future DM.

Hi,

4 years of D&D games behind me from which 3 I have been a DM. I live in GMT +2. English is very fine for me as game language as most of my gaming has been in English (DM and player).

I have DMed:

- Two one shots (homebrew)

- One two shot (homebrew, first ever D&D game - I had to DM to play, so kind a dived right into the deep end there)

- The starter campaign (added few twists, since it was very vanilla for me)

- One longer (1.5 years or so) homebrew campaign, which is now halted (probably indefinately) since the group became in active while we played another campaign not DMed by me.

Player experience:

I have been a player in 3 different campaigns over 2 years. 

Characters:

Astellodia, a thiefling bard

Rhiona, a human monk

Frey, a gnome warlock

Current situation:

I'm currently playing with one group, but we are probably going to have a break because the DM is having his second child. I was DMing/playing with another group, but as said earlier, it most likely disbanded. 

Also, I have only played with groups in which most if not all players and DM have been first timers or beginners. 

Therefore, I would love to find a group consisting of experienced players who preferably have DMed games too. Don't get me wrong, I love introducing people to D&D - I have friends of a friend lined up for teaching session as we speak - but for once I would love to play with good flow, no constant repeating of rules, advanced use of character mechanics and solid roleplaying. 

Thus, I think I would fit among you.

About my playstyle:

RP over combat, but I'm not picky. I am not a min maxer (nothing bad about it) and I don't like meta gaming at all. Meta gaming is the biggest turn off for me. For me it just feels like cheating and completely breaks character (who is completely oblivious of the meta gaming details). I love rolling dice and failing. Best things happen when things don't go as planned. I tend to be flamboyant, but I give space for all to have their moments, because that's what D&D is for me: a chance for everyone to have their moment to shine, to create something they want to and feels important to them.
