I have just begun my interest into D&D and I am looking for a game on Tuesday nights. Do you have room for a inexperienced player. I already have a few of the 5e books and excited to get started.
Anyone in the Tempe/ south phoenix area looking for a group? I'm running a MOP variant for tal dorei game starting at lvl 1. i have room for about 2-3 players.
My fiancé and I were hoping to find a group to join. She has some experience in earlier versions, and I myself haven't really played myself; though I have been watching a good deal of videos in preparation to play. Anyone in preferably the north Phoenix area?
I'm available and in North Phoenix. What days are you looking to play? I have experience as a DM and am able to host. I already play once every two weeks with a group out in Goodyear, and I am trying to get a group together to play additionally up towards my house. I have a couple of people that I can tag into it immediately potentially if you are available. Let me know if you're interested
Yeah, I think we'd be interested. Our only hangup might be scheduling since we have two girls and no babysitter, so worst case scenario is we'd be able to do something only on the weekends if not every other weekend. We're actually in Anthem, if that helps at all.
Is anyone interested is starting a discord that I could join and possibly play over the computer if so I would really appreciate it I haven't played since gen 2 so I'll be a complete noob but I'd like to play if anyone is interested
Good night this post is old. There were a few of us locals that were making an attempt to get a group going but it never got going. I just run games over the net now though I prefer face to face games it would seem now days going online via Discord is the way to go.
You guys just need to jump into an online game over discord or something. Sure, there is nothing like sitting at a table but I assure you, playing via discord with voice chat is still loads of fun and works very well. You can even use minis with the addition of something like roll20. The game I DM mostly just uses theater of the mind but I do use a good amount of references, maps and other handouts for example. I also use a cloud storage for players to download, city maps, world map, and even a calendar of the world for example.
With that said I would be interested in running another game if any of you want to get something going. Or if anyone wanted to DM a game I would not mind sitting in as a player for a change. (Have not been a character player since AD&D days.) Honestly I prefer the DM roll. Just been doing it for so long at this point. I would only be interested in an online game at this time though.
Other then that just start looking for a game online. Hell I would add you guys to my Sunday game but its full. Game has been going for well over a year with only about 4 or 5 canceled game sessions. Very happy with it. Online games can work and work well. My suggestion would to go that route.
Yeah, sadly a lot of the games I've joined have fallen apart rather quickly with having two sessions then cancelling out the next four to five and the Dm walking away.

That really sucks. I have had some come and go in the game I currently DM. I now have only one original player the next in line left back in October due to real life reasons. This put the group at 4 players. It has been the same group going on 6-7 months now. The game has been going for over a year now however. There have been few time where someone has not been able to make it but this has not been a constant issue, and they have all communicated very well and in advance. In most cases those who have left did so because of something going on in their life. I did have to give a player the boot and had 2 others drop after a session or 2 early on. Good thing replacements can be had rather fast when playing over the net. Bad thing is that if your a player looking for a game it might take some time. Im at a point now where the players are levels 14-15 and finding replacements my be a bit of a challenge if that time comes. I do tend to run a relaxed casual game so that helps. I think I have canceled a session only 3 or 4 times. We play weekly.
I’m out in buckeye with no game going. No interest out thus far I think... nor a place to play lol
I think issues arise when people have to travel more then a few short miles. I have no doubt that there are plenty who would love to play. I actually know several people who want to play, one I know was in a local group. Not sure about currently. Another issue is when to play and if everyone can make the schedule on a regular basis. Then there are those life changes that can cause issues as well. Like a new job or something. I have run local games in the past but for various reasons they fall apart. I would be interested in getting a group going with any one of you guys as a player or DM (prefer DM). Online of course. As a DM I keep it straight forward and not complicated for the sake of the game pace. I would just host it over discord. A lot of theater of the mind but I do use maps and handouts. Hell I have a world/continent all fleshed out from my current game for the most part. Even have a detailed calendar. I think I have about 30 years of D&D under my belt. Mostly as a DM. Again, I do run a casual game thats open to what the players do. I currently run a Sunday game and I like to keep my Saturdays free. Evenings only due to work. Say 5 give or take. So yeah, I would be willing to run a game. Been wanting to run a second game in the same world.
