DRAKKENHEIM IS NO MORE. An eldritch storm of falling stars devastated the city on that woeful eve, leaving behind a meteorite that would have lasting effects. Fifteen years later, Drakkenheim is a dismal urban wasteland contaminated by otherworldly magic and haunted by hideous monsters. Fantastic wealth, lost knowledge, and powerful artifacts lie ready for the taking by adventurers brave or foolish enough to venture into the ruins. However, even those who survive the dangers of Drakkenheim may not return unmarked by its terrors!
Welcome to Drakkenheim! This campaign setting is based on backing this wildly successful kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2144996758/dungeons-of-drakkenheim , bringing characters through levels 1-13(and beyond!) in a cursed city of political intrigue, dangerous monstrosities, warped magic, rival factions, character development and hard choices. While a sandbox campaign, this campaign takes place entirely within the urban setting of the city of Drakkenheim and it’s immediate surrounding areas. About Me
Lifelong fantasy enthusiast, been playing dnd for the past 2 years. I prioritize fun over a hard stance on every minor rule, and am super open to feedback and changing elements of the campaign to ensure that all the players are getting the most out of it possible. This will be my first time DMing a full fledged campaign, so it may start a tad rocky, but the source material is an inspiration for me to make this a fantastic campaign for all involved
Character Creation
All races/classes in all published materials are good, as well as some custom backgrounds from the world of Drakkenheim will be available for you to read through in the discord, as well as some background information about the world and personal quests that can help you tailor your character to the surrounding region. The creators did a helpful video here: https://youtu.be/Pc3ToyjcClo . More information will be available in the discord, but certain races may need to forego certain traits (predominantly flight and not needing to breath) in order to not ruin the early stage of the campaign. If you would like these races, we will work together to figure out alternative features, and possibly a path to regain those features as the campaign goes on.
Time
We will run this weekly from 2-6 PM EST on Sundays, starting on Feb 20. While life does happen and occasionally a player will need to miss a session, given that this is a primarily character driven campaign it is ideal for candidates to have that time slot consistently open for the foreseeable future.
Voice/chat will be on discord, VTT will be roll20, characters in DnDbeyond (ideally).

To be honest I've never played a d&d game a day in my life, So I was hoping to come on here make some friends, learn how to play and go on some cool adventures.
