New player looking to get into this magnificent hobby

I am a brand new player who is looking to (FINALLY) get into D&D. I've been watching various D&D media for years and have tried getting some friends together to play multiple times, but it's never worked out so here I am.

I'm an easy-going, LGBTQ+ friendly, 32 y/o British guy (he/him) living in the eastern US time zone just looking to learn and play 5E. I don't mind so much on setting but would like it to be the traditional high fantasy. I am very keen to try out some RP if the group is into it. Mostly looking for a week-night game after 8 pm (preference for Wednesday night but reasonably flexible) with a good group that is willing to help me learn the game and have fun. Cheers.

You can join us! We start at 8 p.m.MDT on Wednesday, and go for 1-2 hours. On Saturday, we start at 7 p.m. MDT and go for 4 hours. If this doesn't work for you, I understand, this was the best compromise for the time zone barriers we started with. (You won't be behind, we've only had one session so far). I allow homebrew items. We have a google hangout I can add you into, If you want to join. When we do sessions, we do them on google meet, I leave a link in the google hangout.
