Howdy everyone! I'm semi-new to dnd, I've done a handful of one off little games with like my dad, but I've never really played a lot of the game. And well no time like the present to hopefully start actually playing with a group and all that shtuff. I have quite a lot of the books (Physical, not on dnd beyond), including 2014 rules plus the expanded rules like Tasha's Guide, and the 2024 rules. So either one is good with me because, well I haven't done enough of 2014 to know what 2024 changed or does differently. Plus a handful of third party books.
Some info about me: I'm 22, gay, got the good ol' autism, and most importantly a furry (I'll mainly make anthro characters) I will admit I'm very very shy. I don't know all the rules off the top of my head, but I do know the two most important ones. One, Don't be a dick. And two, have fun. I can't drive, so I can only do online games. The only mic I have is my phone, for discord calls. Don't have a camera either. I'm on pacific standard time, and considering I'm unemployed I'm pretty much free whenever. Unless I have a thing I need to do or go to, in which case I'll tell you beforehand.
So yeah! I'd love to start playing for real! My discord is jaxogaytor , and simply tell me you saw this post and want me for a group/game. Thank ya! :3
You've got the two core rules, so that's a great start.
I'll be running an adventure soon. Queer and ND friendly, for sure. I too have the 'tism. I just made a detailed LFP post, so check it out and let me know what you think.
Welcome! You sound like you’d be a great fit for The Nexus — we’re an LGBTQIA+ friendly, 18+ community using the classic 2014 D&D 5e rules (no 2024 content) with lots of players who love diverse characters, including anthro and furry ones. We run online sessions via Discord with voice chat (phone mics are totally fine!), plus PbP options if you prefer text.
We focus on fun, respect, and a chill vibe — definitely no dick moves allowed! Your Pacific Time availability works well for a bunch of folks in the group, and you’re welcome to bring your books and explore the 2014 rules with us.
